Driven to Distraction
Some things can mean the difference between life and death. Something as small as changing the station on the radio can be of enough distraction to cause a crash on the roads. With road safety of such low priority in the lives of everyday people, what is the solution?
The best idea is to concentrate on what you are doing. If you are driving a car - drive a car! If you need to make a call when out in the road, than pake sure you stop in a safe place first, and don't put the lives of innocent people at risk.
Shocking Road Traffic Statistics
The statistcics suggest that a shocking 95% of all collisions are down to driver error! Basically meaning that nearly all road collisions could be avoided if drivers simply concentrated and acted responsibly (potentially after sufficient driver training). This statistic (among other things) has resulted in the UK emergency services no longer calling crashes 'accidents' but rather call them 'collisions'. Therefore I would expect the traditional 'RTA' we hear on TV programmes slowly become 'RTC' instead.
